Author Morris to address Spring Conference

Party leader Stewart Arnold has urged members to attend the Party’s  Spring Conference in Sheffield at the weekend.

Guest speaker at the conference on Saturday, March 17 will be Richard Morris, author of Yorkshire: A Lyrical History of England’s Greatest County

Richard, an archaeologist and historian, recently featured on BBC Radio 4 as author of its book of the week, and is set to deliver a fascinating talk on his book and the county’s history.

Stewart warns that tickets are selling fast, with participants due to enjoy a day of debate, discussion and networking at the Sheffield Jesus Centre in Broomspring Lane.

“With less than two months to go before what will be a momentous election for the first Mayor of  the ‘Sheffield City Region’, it is now more important than ever for supporters of Yorkshire devolution and the Yorkshire Party to come together and campaign for real devolution for Yorkshire,” said Stewart

“With a fantastic ‘Sheffield City Region’ Mayoral candidate already selected, Mick Bower, the Yorkshire Party is excellently placed to ensure we overcome the sham that is ‘Sheffield City Region’ and secure real Yorkshire devolution.
“So why not join us for an unforgettable day on Saturday.”
