We share your hopes, Chris tells electors

Yorkshire Party Leader Chris Whitwood has spoken of the importance of May’s local elections to the hopes and ambitions of voters.

“The local elections represent an opportunity for electors to speak for their communities, their concerns and their ambitions.

“The Yorkshire Party is standing a record number of candidates across the county and our desire for change is gaining support.

“For decades, the London-centric parties have neglected our region. Yorkshire’s schools are chronically underfunded, our health and social care system is overstretched, parts of transport infrastructure are dilapidated and our communities are forgotten.

“We highlight these needs not to do Yorkshire down but to remove the obstacles that prevent us from reaching our full potential.

“While Labour and the Conservatives are riddled with division, the Yorkshire Party is putting forward a vision for a Yorkshire where residents can be ambitious for themselves, their families, their friends and their communities.

“Whatever you views of Brexit and other national issues, the local elections on May 2, 2019 are an important opportunity to elect, for your local area, representatives who will put your communities first.

“The Yorkshire Party is standing because we believe Yorkshire can be better and that Yorkshire deserves better. This is your opportunity to send a positive and aspirational message to the parties in Westminster that Yorkshire has been neglected for too long and it’s time for that to change.
