Buoyed by the Party’s strong showing in the recent local elections, East Yorkshire members are forging ahead with plans for next year’s (2019) important poll in the area.
All 67 council seats in the 26 wards of East Riding of Yorkshire Council will be at stake in the election to be held on Thursday, May 2.
Each councillor’s normal term is four years, until the following poll in 2023
East Yorkshire Group member Terry Walls tells local members and supporters: “Stewart Arnold, our Party Leader, would like an early start to campaigning.
“We need to be ready to tell voters in the region what the Yorkshire Party stands for and what we as candidates can do for the residents if we are elected,” he said

“If you are at all interested in standing as a Yorkshire Party candidate or would be willing to be involved in campaigning we are holding an initial meeting on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 7.30 pm.
