Present Yorkshire Party Leader Chris Whitwood and the Party’s Communications Director Jack Bannan are to stand in the election to pick the Party’s next Leader.
Later this month, members will choose between them, after Deputy Chairman Matt Clover, who is the Returning Officer running the process, declared them as candidates when the nomination deadline passed.

Matt has written to members: “Over the next two weeks Chris and Jack will tell you of their vision for the Party, how they will help to grow the party further plus many more reasons why they deserve your vote.“Towards the end of the two weeks there will be a live Q&A session with the two candidates, via social media, where you will get the chance to ask the candidates your questions. More details of this to follow.
“On Monday July 15 the voting period will commence and will last until Sunday the July 28 at 23:59, at which time voting will cease.
“All members will be contacted in due course with their own
unique voting number and a link to follow which will give you access to cast
your vote. All votes will be anonymous and no information regarding the result
will be divulged until the end of the process.
“I’m sure you will join me in wishing both Chris and Jack the
greatest of luck and, like me, look forward to the arguments that they both put
forward in their bids to become our next Leader.”
