We would like to formally announce that we intend to stand in the Batley and Spen by-election.
Yorkshire needs a fairer system of government, it needs the power to improve its hospitals, its schools and its environment.
Yorkshire needs its own Parliament.
After the amazing result in the West Yorkshire Mayoral election, it gives us the best foundation to push forward and deliver that Parliament.
To deliver a better Yorkshire for us all.
The WY mayoral result was a vindication of the appetite that Yorkshire has for devolution and has proven that we are the first choice as opposition to the big two London based parties.
We are proud to endorse Corey Robinson as the prospective parliamentary candidate for the seat of Batley and Spen – as someone born and bred in the constituency he has already stated his intention to work tirelessly for the community and we are incredibly happy he has decided to stand under the Yorkshire Party banner.
Working as a senior medical engineer, Corey has been vital at developing tools to improve the health of every day people, including being the main design lead on a device that helps to repair damaged tendons in the hand.
We will always fight for local community politics fought on local community issues.
